http://www.witt-energy.com/ harvesting Motion Energy

I have Andre to thank for informing me about this amazing invention -  the WITT motion energy harvester.  It has been invented by Martin Wickett, a British civil engineer, who has found a way to construct a device which uses motion in any direction to drive a rotating wheel.

Unlike a self-winding watch which uses linear motion to win a watch,, this device harvests all motion whether up, down, round sideways etc. Andre sent me this (now corrected) link to a youtube video:-

Here is another link to the official website.  So many potential uses for this machine!

I put it on this blog because I think it is such a logical and useful discovery.

  1. Thanks John, it's an interesting machine, with about a zillion applications.

Your first link does not work (at least for me).

Here's a few extra links if anyone's interested:

This is a pendulum machine, which means that it must be in some form of accelerated frame in order for it to work. It would not work in a purely inertial frame, such as the steady velocity of a spacecraft.

I think it has quite a few possibilities. We'll see what becomes of it.

    1. Thanks for pointing out the link was faulty Hutch - now corrected. There are some interesting applications demonstrated.

  2. Good, it won't pose any threat to bessler wheel research I suppose...Suresh

    1. Just like the linear watch winding technology this may also go into oblivion gradually....Suresh

    2. I think this WITT technology has a huge future in such things as wave power.

  3. Thanks John. That invention is quite interesting.

  4. Bessler wheel is much superior...it produces it's own Motion by swinging it's levers and further turns itself into rotary motion...but how much sensation it would create can't be predicted...Bessler wheel is also extremely simple to construct...but it is evading everyone like anything....one reason is that no one listens to anyone...clues are ignored...people proceed on their own wrong tracks....I'm sure Martin Wickett alone could not have produced the Witt device...it is time we thought of some collaboration....Suresh

    1. Suresh, this is an interesting point to deliberate: are we able to work together? I wonder for long if a collaboration is possible or even conceivable for achieving a purpose of this kind.

  5. Because, even if it is achieved individually, it would go the bessler way....IMHO, it should not take a month or so to complete building the wheel by pooling the knowledge...some possess valuable clue but no resource...someone has the capacity to see through the process but lack clues...someone could get the entire thing patented...there are so many things that needs to be taken care of which is individually not possible...even the profits could be worked out...the deserving should get the proper share....there is money to be made here...life can simply change...I can provide the most crucial clues which would be quite sufficient for the successful build...I have been guarding them for more than 28 years or so...these clues have been discussed or thought of nowhere till now...Suresh

  6. Why people don't favor collaboration....because they want the entire name and fame...bessler failed in this regard...if we can think of a water tight agreement without giving way to the cleverness then half the battle is won....after having gone through this entire blog and also other sites in the internet I can say for sure no one has the slightest idea of the wheel's internal structure...not even Ken.B, for that matter....he is right as far as the centre of gravity and the number of levers is concerned...I guarantee no one individual can produce the wheel now...proper and extremely honest colloboration could ensure working Bessler wheel in less than a month...it is no joke...I mean the real bessler wheel with the artful internal arrangent of the weights that are attached to the levers..no ropes..these levers need to be suspended in such a manner that they keep the wheel continously heavy on one side...the swinging and raising is very fast...but, who will bell the cat???..Suresh

  7. Suresh have you ssimulated your idea to prove if you are right? You sound just like every one else with a pet idea and no proof.

  8. It is not required...when you hit upon the right one you know it for sure...I can surely reveal when this collaboration is formed...and, by the way, what is wrong in forming an association....am I asking too much like bessler??...Suresh... PS: You could also opt to wait endlessly for the most evading matter...it is your choice..but no other way is going to coax me...because if I even lied to you that I have successful simulations then you are going to ask for more proof..it happened with bessler....Suresh
