One of Bessler’s clues which may have slipped past our attention is this one, it begs the question, why did he add the name Johann?
We are familiar with his use of the atbash code, the Caesar shift and the RoT13 code, and his addition of an extra two initials J and E to his original E for Elias Bessler.
He adopted his pseudonym, Orffyreus, by using the RoT13 code, which was a well-known code system in his time. I think he knew this and expected those people who were curious would search for other clues within his published works, just as we have.
His use of a variety of codes included - alphanumerics, Caesar shift, chronograms (a sentence containing certain letters which can be interpreted as Roman Numerals and stand for a number when rearranged.) Steganography (the practice of hiding information within a different media such as embedding it invisibly within a drawing) - plus a few of his own invention.
I asked the question, why did he add the name Johann? He had already got two E’s to give two 5s, alphanumerically; then from the E to the R via the Caesar shift; and to 18 from R again, alphanumerically. These all fit in perfectly to confirm the pentagram. So why did he think it necessary to add the J.
J is the tenth letter alphanumerically, or W by the Caesar shift. W is the 23rd letter. I can’t think of a convincing reason for the number 23, so its purpose may be the fact that the W is composed of two Vs. But we already have two 5s, but the W which does however, provides two linked Vs. This might reflect Bessler’s statement that the weights worked in pairs
His use of the W was definitely an important clues and conceived as a clue right back in the beginning when he adopted the name Orffyreus,
His initials after his forename additions were JEEB, and after the RoT13 change became WRRO.
But when converted to Roman numerals, before the addition, JEEB in Roman numerals 10, 5,5,2,, which then becomes XVVII. If we stick with his chosen pseudonym, Orffyreus, then XVVO is the interesting result.
So we have a W which is composed of two linked Vs.
But there’s more. Throughout his Apologia Poetica Bessler inserts numerous examples of rhyming couplets containing three Capital letters being the three initials of his ‘enemies’, Wagner, Gartner and Borlach - W,G and B.

The W might look that way simply because he like that font type.
ReplyDeleteAssuming this path through the alphanumerics and shifts etc. is accurate, and the letters indicate a mechanism or secret (including the numbering etc.), we still don’t know what he is talking about. I might need a flowchart?😅
I think Bessler picked the first name "Johann" because it is the German version of the English name "John". Bessler was very religious and after he studied the Bible he realized that it refers to John as "the disciple whom Jesus loved" in the Gospel of John as you can find in the verses John 13:23, John 19:26, John 20:2, and John 21:7. This phrase shows that there was a special relationship between Jesus and John. So, I think Bessler's choice of that particular name indicates that he also wished to have a special relationship with Jesus who he would, as a Christian, have considered to be God in human form on Earth.
ReplyDeleteAs for the meaning of the letter W, I think SoS solved that mystery a long time ago. Bessler shows that letter as two letter V's with crossed parts making a letter X. In his clues he always treats the letter V (and actually anything with a V shape) like the Roman numeral that has a value of 5. The X is the symbol for multiplication in arithmetic. So by forming the letter W as he did, Bessler is telling us to multiply 5 by itself or 5 x 5 to get 25. The number 25 refers to the 25th letter of the alphabet which is the letter Y and that was apparently the shape of the levers he used in his pm wheels. He repeats that particular number in many places and, as SoS pointed out years ago, especially in the MT drawings.
I also did some research into Hebrew and found something that would have immediately caught Bessler's attention as he studied the Hebrew language with his rabbi friend. The Hebrew name for God is "Yahweh" which only has four Hebrew letters in it (there are no vowels in Hebrew which translators add to make Hebrew words pronounceable for English readers). In English and with the vowels removed the name Yahweh is written as YHWH and is called the "tetragammaton" by Bible scholars because it only has four Hebrew letters. It is considered to be a very sacred name. The first letter in that Hebrew name is Y which is the Hebrew letter called "Yod". With that particular letter Y showing up in the Hebrew name for an eternal God, Bessler probably considered it to be a clue from God that Bessler should use that letter's shape in his pm wheels in some way. Well he did and the result was a runner! We have to keep in mind that just as we have our clues given to us by Bessler, so too did Bessler have HIS clues given to him by God!

Thanks for those insights, DoSoS. I think I learned more from your single comment here than I did from the last several blogs combined! Btw...I'm also still in total awe of that lever shape analysis you did using Bessler's last drawing for Karl that appeared in the November 19th blog last year. Imo, it is the best I've ever seen done anywhere period!
DeleteJust as I was starting to think all that past talk about me having "emerging psychic powers" was just talk, I had an experience with this blog that is starting to convince me it could be true!
As I studied JC's image of the top part of MT 83, there was something that kept drawing my attention to the upper right corner of it that contains the number 83. I looked at for about a half hour when, all of a sudden, it hit me! It contains another Bessler clue about that "lucky ratio" value of 0.777 that SoS claims indicates where, along the radius of a drum, Bessler located the pivots for those Y shaped levers he used in his pm wheels. Apparently, that location is critical to making a wheel keep its weights' center of gravity on the descending side of the wheel as it rotates IF the other values for the parts he also hid in his drawings are used. If that pivot location is changed by using a different ratio, then all of the specifications for the parts must also be changed or no pm will result when a wheel is constructed using them. I think SoS originally claimed Bessler chose that ratio first because of its numbers being mentioned by Jesus somewhere in the New Testament. However, it was only after Bessler selected that ratio that he would then have determined the specifications of the parts that would work with it which took an enormous amount of calculations as well as trial and error testing using his 36 inch diameter prototype wheel. It is obviously a very important number and clues for it continue to surface around here.
Anyway, here's a quick paint drawing I made showing how to get that critical lucky ratio using the 83 in the corner of MT 83. The drawing is self-explanatory:

fark what a load of self serving twaddle from the loony tunes
DeleteNice analysis Brad. Here's what my psychic power is telling me about that number. The two big circles forming the number eight represent two one way wheels inside of the thicker drum of a two way wheel. The big dot connecting the circles together in the middle of the eight represents the axle on which the two one way wheels were mounted. I'm not done yet. The bottom of the number three looks like one of those curved cranks that Bessler attached to the ends of his wheel axles to power their pendulums with the big dot representing where it was attached to the axle. If that's what it represents, then the two straight lines forming the upper part of the number three represent the rod that went from the end a curved crank up to the top cross piece of a pendulum and the cross piece itself.
Deletei need a new super power lol . my psychic power tells me that 83 is like 88 with the side of the 8 sliced off or hidden to show a 3 . psychically triggered by the two bent cross arm A's & 1 normal A in mt83 . amirightorwhat

Deleteok here;s another number clue for you. you like the number 25 because it means b used y levers? just multiply the 8 and 3 to get 24. to the left of the 8 there is a vertical part of the number's box that looks like a number 1. just add it to the 24 and you get 25! more proof b used y levers? maybe. enjoy! 😊
John said : " Curiously the picture in DT showing the Weinstein wheel attached to an Archimedes pump, has THREE ITEMS labelled in a confusing way. For a start each part is labelled with a letter, running from the letter ‘a’ to the letter ‘t’. For some reason the letter ‘j’ is missing. The last letter listed is ‘t’.
ReplyDeleteBut … there is what appears to be THREE ITEMS labelled with a W. Further examination of the letter W in this case, suggests it might actually be the number 10! The missing ‘j’. "
Here is my quick relabelling of the DT engraving you mention John . The letters are in red , lower case , and the 10's also in red . It seems one conclusion we could reach is we can substitute the 10 for j . As we know the old German alphabet had 24 letters with i / j and u / v stylistic variants not always formalized into vowels in printing of the time .
Can you please point out your " THREE ITEMS labelled with a W " as I can not seem to see 3 ITEMS labelled as W like ITEMS ?
n.b obviously there are 2 W's in different fonts in the engraving name or legend , with only 1 in the W ( VV ) format that I can easily see .

There arppears to be 3 tens (10's) ? B. says in his DT written legend to the engraving , marked 10. , that the open U shaped ends of the wheel supports connections to ceiling and floor ' show (the) open nature of (the) framework of (the) machine ' . Presumably partly to illustrate that there is no center pull rod or crank rod as Gartner and Borlach drew in their Merseburg Wheel engraving through the ceiling or floor to manually and externally turn the wheel from another room.

John got ahead of himself . flow chart 10 = j = X = VV = W
ReplyDeleteNew flow chart: Euclid + pentagons + 18 degrees + decades of "clues" and "codes" + overhyped "Bessler Workaround" = just another DEAD DUCK! 🦆🪦😲
Delete.. What can't hide is the massive amount of over-lettering of the Kassell Wheel engraving in DT ( intentional overkill ) . In this drawing I have labelled each ' part ' once in yellow , and the extras in orange ( anywhere from 2 to 3 extra / redundant ' letterings ' ) . What is plain to see is firstly that the 10 stands out as the odd man out , a lone number in a sequence of lettering . Secondly that it appears 3 times , 2 times at the top of the illustration and 1 time at the bottom . Scripted deliberate overkill made with intent and an agenda ! .. Following the signposts and substitution cipher theory etc we could reasonably deduce that not only is the number of ' 3 ' important but that three 10's equals three j's equals three X's , as ' j ' is the 10th letter in the alphabet and ' X ' is the Roman Numeral for 10 etc etc etc .. And we know from the private MT that B. gives a strong mention numerous times to the significance and importance of the Storks Bill leverage mechanics , of which an X is imo representative , if not an unmistakable simplified illustration of , a basic mechanical unit of a SB leveraging linkage . That like Atlas and the common lever reconfigures the proportions of Mechanical Advantage .. -f

Bessler did everything by design , leaving little to nothing to chance , or mistake , or happenstance , or a crazy moment . Redundancies is a message . Including the wrong number of SB segments in MT41 .
DeleteIn my next blog I’ll post a document I first published several years ago, 2015! It describes the reason for various features in this picture, and other. Which brings me to another point, so many visitors here are unfamiliar with my previous decades of work on deciphering Bessler’s many hints and clues, but what can I do, republish everything? I’m gathering it all together in a book which I’ll post here eventually.
DeleteSome of you’ll doubtless scoff at my work, but it’s quite easily fact-checked. The figures don’t lie but how they lead to the correct configuration is more difficult to ascertain, but I put it out there for all to check and consider it’s usefulness and meaning.

More information is always better than less. But, I think the recent total failure of your Bessler Workaround wheel will make most dismiss your clues and codes as being of little value. If you couldn't get a runner out of them after all of these years most here will just consider it not possible to do. I think you gave it a fair try, but it looks like it's going to remain a dead duck until and unless you can find some NEW clues (and not your usual decade plus old ones we've all seen here many times before) that can pull the failed BWA 1.0 design off of our sky high heap of dead duck designs and pump some life back into it. So far, that does not seem to be happening despite your promise MONTHS ago (and so far broken) to show us some new clues indicating how some extra ropes need to be attached to another lever inside of BWA 1.0 to finally keep its CoG stable on the wheel's descending side during rotation. You never delivered on those new clues, but are, once again, right back regurgitating all of your old clues which there seems to be little interest in as indicated by the huge drop off in comments following that recent blog with the one hundred comments to it. Now there's talk from you about a book full of your old clues which you will publish here "eventually". IIRC you were talking about an actual physical book years ago (might have been an updated version of "Perpetual Motion: An Ancient Mystery Solved?") that you would "eventually" publish and it never got done. As they say, "There is a world of difference between talk and action". I do wish you the best of luck with your efforts, but imo the best thing you could do at this time would be to complete discard all of your pentagon and scissor mechanism beliefs and seek a new approach to a solution. Either that or begin heading toward retirement on that comfy philosopher's armchair that now has your name written on it.
DeleteJust in...advanced look at possible design for JC's future philosopher's armchair. Personally I think the letters are a bit overdone though. I would have made them smaller to better suggest his humility. But, it is what it is. Still it looks like it will be "comfy" for him.

Lol! Hey, I wouldn't mind having that in my living room...minus the name on it. The one I use now should have been dumped years ago...🥱
DeleteI just used the Futurocam to look ahead one year and check up on JC. Here's the image it pulled in. It shows a happy JC relaxing in his comfy philosopher's armchair and enjoying his final complete retirement from Bessler research. No more thinking about pentagons, angles, and all of those "clues" and "codes" he was finding all over Bessler's drawings and writings. No more worrying about meeting some deadline to publish something or actually trying to build anything. Even his long running blog has finally been switched over to "read only" so he is no longer bothered having to repost bits and pieces of old blogs so he can look active or by trolls putting nasty comments on it about him and his research. He is finally at peace with Bessler's wheels and the universe. Life is so good for him...

I’ll take that! Thanks.
