Facts not Fiction, will Show the Way to Bessler’s wheel.

It seems to me that people are getting sidetracked into looking for clues in places which are not genuinely repositories for clues actually left by Johann Bessler.  The so-called clues identified by K. Behrendt in his book are not clues left by Bessler with the intention of guiding us to his design.  I say this with the utmost certainty because I have identified and interpreted enough clues to build his machine and it bears no similarity to the one that Behrendt claims to have discovered.

There so many errors and false assumptions littering the heavy prose which forms an enormous chunk of the book, that my heart quails at the very thought of identifying them.  In addition the author sketches ideas which become facts which supply sturdy support for his earlier erroneous assumptions.  His conclusions are so flimsy, based as they are on non-evidence that, one could drive a coach and horses through them and utterly destroy them

It may appear that I’m being unfair to Behrendt, but I’m actually trying to defend the truth and Behrendt’s truth is a mere shadow of the reality.  He has published books before on the paranormal, secrets of UFO technology, and numerous articles on time machines, extraterrestrials, the resurrection of the dead, the underworld, haunted houses, the oceanic depths.  The list seems endless, but I hope you get a picture of Mr Behrendt’s interests.  He is not a recorder of truths so much a purveyor of myth and imagination.

I am concerned at the number of people who are advancing Behrendt’s theories without concerning themselves with their origin.  You can have alternative theories and hypotheses, but not alternative facts. Facts that are successfully disputed cease to be facts, while theories that are successfully disputed continue to be theories.

It is for this reason that I continue to record my dislike and concern that people will assume that Behrendt writes with the tacit approval of those, like myself, who have spent most of my spare time throughout some sixty years in publishing only facts which are supported by documentary evidence.  I do not approve of anything which he has written in his book, ostensibly the truth about Bessler's wheel.  Even though some of it comes from my own research which he has by and large failed to acknowledge other than in the the most desultory fashion, but more, far more comes from his own vivid imagination, and you can form an accurate opinion on that by considering the other subjects he waxes enthusiastically about.  None of them are real, just a boy’s  imagination run riot.

  1. I agree sir, you are right... but he'll never get this point... because, it goes against his commercial interests...his credibility is hurt...he will lose his audience...he will still argue...he has put in lot of hard work...
He can still fare...he just has to start from scratch... because, he wud feel he has progressed too far and it would be too late to turn back...
Instead, he knows no one would succeed in solving the bessler mystery and till then he can never be completely exposed...he has become a soothsayer too...SoS...

What I think is that from his childhood he has convinced himself that he was always right in his thinking and has been fooling himself unaware...
Actually, we should show some pity for him and gradually let him realize how silly he has been all along...
All types of characters fill this world... even in ancient times, there were great people who promoted wrong theories, didn't they?...

  2. The Behrendt's curse. He / it is a lot of things alright. A superior intellect with an IQ of 140 or more; evil, wicked, also comes to mind. He is possessed with relentless and continuous ravings of an unworkable device. Constantly ranting on and on, unable to let it go---------------insane I guess. What's really odd; with all of his vast knowledge, he don't know any thing about mechanics, or anything mechanical in nature. Maybe that's the reason his wheel is unworkable. Sam

    1. You're absolutely right, Sam. Ken must be stark raving insane! He's probably using dozens of different sock puppets to pollute the entire internet with his crazy theories. Fawk, he could be posting everything from a computer in the day room of a mental hospital whenever his meds wear off a little and he manages to escape from his keepers for a while! But, then again, maybe one has to reach his level of total insanity before he can finally solve the secret of Bessler's wheels? Maybe that's why no one else is making any progress? It's because we aren't as insane as Ken is yet!

    3. I don't think Ken B. is insane, but I definitely think he's possessed by demonic spirits! IIRC, someone mentioned that he's an astrologist and numerologist who is obsessed with the occult. I bet he managed to conjure up something from Hell and then made a deal with Satan just like in that play about Dr. Faustus.

The deal was that, in exchange for Ken's immortal soul, Satan would give him a pm wheel design that would work, but, of course, it's not Bessler's wheel which was given to him by God Himself. Also, I strongly urge everybody NOT to look at his youtube wheel video or, if you do, make sure to mute the sound. It might sound like harmless background music, but it's probably got demon voices embedded in it that will, while you're being hypnotized by his spinning wheel, be programming your mind to loose your faith in God and start committing one mortal sin after another.

This is all part of Satan's plan to capture as many souls as possible in these end times and take them back to Hell with him before the return of Jesus. Imo, all of Ken's books should be gathered up and burned and his youtube channel video deleted before Satan can complete his plan of dooming humanity! I'm very serious about this!

  4. Does below report suggest that Ken could be wrong in his idea about the source of energy of BW?...

    mass-weight

Climb Mount Everest and you're guaranteed to lose some weight, but not because of the exercise. A person who's standing at sea level weighs slightly more than they would atop the mountain's peak. Weight is the measurement of gravity's pull on an object. And it varies by location.

Mass is a different beast altogether, one that's proven extremely hard to define. Although this is a bit of an oversimplification, in physics classrooms, students are told mass denotes two key characteristics of an object. The first is the amount of matter it contains. The second is the thing's ability to resist changes in its state of motion. (We call that phenomenon "inertia.") Unlike weight, mass is constant and holds firm no matter where an object travels.

    You can never know too much about this all-important property;

    1. There's a Unit of Mass Called a 'Slug'
It's a part of the U.S. Customary Units system and the less popular British Imperial System. For most of the world, the preferred unit of mass is the kilogram, one thousand of which equal a metric ton. Kilograms belong to the International System of Units, also known as the metric system. While they're everyday terms in other countries, Americans tend to be more reliant on U.S. Customary Units.

Now you might assume this system's answer to the kilogram is the pound. Yet pounds are technically units of weight. Both the U.S. Customary and British Imperial Systems measure mass with a different unit called a "slug." (On Earth, one slug is equal to about 32.2 pounds, or 14.60 kilograms.) Even so, it rarely comes up in casual conversations and most users aren't familiar with the term. That's a real pity; imagine WrestleMania fans cracking slug jokes by the ringside.

    2. The Scientist Who Discovered the Law of Conservation of Mass Was Beheaded
"In every operation," wrote the great chemist Antoine-Laurent Lavoisier, "an equal quantity of matter exists before and after the operation." Put another way, mass can neither be created nor destroyed. This principle has been named the Law of Conservation of Mass. Lavoisier's experiments in the late 18th century brought this idea to light.

Fellow scientists embraced his findings, but Lavoisier's career was cut short. Literally. When he wasn't decomposing water or making rust on purpose, Lavoisier helped collect taxes for the French government. That got him guillotined in 1794, after he was charged with "conspiracy against the people of France" by revolutionary forces.

    1. I’m not sure what your question means Suresh. How can anyone even consider for a moment that Ken has the foggiest notion about Bessler’s wheel’s energy source? His idea is completely loopy.

      JC

    2. Our Sun looses about 4.26 million metric tons of mass every second as hydrogen nuclei fuse to become helium nuclei inside of its core. That mass is constantly being converted into gamma radiation that heats up the entire body of the Sun and is eventually radiated off into space across all frequencies of the EM spectrum. Ken claims that the energy in Bessler's wheels also comes from a very slow loss of mass of all of the subatomic particles in the atoms of their weights, but no fusion reactions are required for that to happen.

A running Bessler wheel's descending side weights always dropped a little faster than the ascending side weights rose and that made the descending side weights lose GPE or gravitational potential energy at a rate slightly more than the rate it was regained by the ascending side weights. That extra lost GPE of the descending side weights did not just disappear though. It was used to accelerate the wheel or to power any machinery attached to its axle. There's really nothing mysterious about the process he's suggesting and, in fact, it's how any overbalanced type pm wheel will work as long as it remains overbalanced while it runs.

One consequence of this is that, having only a limited amount of mass in its weights, a Bessler wheel could not run forever. But, it could, assuming no breakdown of some sort, run for maybe millions of years or longer. So his wheels would not actually be perpetual, but no one who built one would ever live long enough to see it stop.

      Delete
    3. It is still not easy to understand how BW weights can lose mass... Losing of GPE is acceptable but not mass...

You need to make it more simple for us to understand...

    4. Also, you need to tell us why BW weights are not entirely dependent on gravity...

They just didn't get the right design...

The people who really want to succeed don't know the secret design or the proper approach...
Some people are simply on the wrong path...
Some may know The secret but lack the skill to build...
Some are misguided from the beginning...
Some don't want to build or explain things but would like to critisize everyone...

The easiest thing to do is to challenge everyone without giving reasons as to why gravity alone isn't enough to run BW...
But the combined farts can even make a windstorm very smelly...

The need of the hour and the wisest thing that can be done is to form a legal committee with international participation to bust this mystery for planet's sake...

If you don't have a working wheel then you have to have a very good theory with equations that prove your point.
      Otherwise, your ideas are...just ideas.

      Anyone, even John, spends time here writing comments ;
      (1) has psychological problems or
      (2) afraid of failure and
(3)definitely does not have any working solution whatsoever.

If you are courageous enough Suresh, face your fears and design your wheel. It won't work but it is OK to be wrong. Bessler faced that feeling at least 100 times.

You have really posed a great challenge to us... especially me...

I have decided to accept your challenge...I am waiting for lifting of the curfew here...
Eventhough, I am not adept at building I have to do something now soon...my credibility is at stake...

Please don't tell me later your challenge was only for boosting our moral...

Also, tell us in advance, if a running BW is proved then how will you react?...

Please note carefully my below report...

      BW is different from PMM...
BW uses gravity to sustain itself...
BW employs a unique arrangement inside...
BW mechanism amplifies gravity in a novel way.
BW mechanism is not known to anyone at present
BW uses no other external force...
BW mechanism is the only one of its kind...
      BW mechanism is extremely simple...
BW mechanism differs from Bhaskara's design...
BW can be assembled in hours...
BW mechanism can be easily copied by fraudster
      BW obeys all physics laws...
BW mechanism is not used by inventors so far..
BW mechanism cannot be seen anywhere on net...
BW concept doesn't easily come to mind...
BW concept is not some sort of magic or fraud.
BW concept can surprise anyone when revealed..

Your three points (1,2,& 3) is incomplete...
It is not necessary that no one has the solution... It would be right if you say 99 percent may not hold the solution...

The biggest confusion is that BW is considered as another PMM...
Since it consumes gravity it is not a PMM...

All the machines portrayed in the two videos referred by you are flawed... They are not at all like BW mechanism...

Since there is only one design that can work it is very elusive...

Bessler has inserted certain tricky clues to prevent easy detection... this has ended up in misguiding many...

Yes, you have stated something like mental case... Bessler wheel inventor becomes paranoid after he gets the secret and hesitates to trust anyone easily and thereby invites others wrath...

There is no question of the wheel not working sir as the secret is known...

Almost everyone reacts badly because there has only been failures so far...

The narrators of both the videos are not well versed with bessler story... So their talk is biased...

Most distractors are either jealous or biased or not aware of the secret formula...

Bessler wheel inventor is somewhat odd and doesn't fit with the mainstream...

BW enthusiasts have literally turned it into a ratrace without the complete knowledge... This has largely contributed to the prevailing disbelief...and, that includes you, too... I mean your disbelief...

I am a total failure case... generally...

Hope that answers your second question too...

But I stopped telling lies in childhood itself and don't believe in misguiding or cheating anyone... bessler story fascinates me...I am still not matured enough to face the world...

Thanks for asking... anyway...I believe you and also trust you... the way I trust BW...I have much regard for you...you are not like others...

    9. Thank you Suresh. You are very good guy. Trust me, trust the science on gravity. There are scientists just like you and me. They are not much different, believe in me. I know lots of them. They are not the enemy.
What you are saying, said by so many scientists many years ago. Especially in 1700s scientists tried so hard to design a PM. There were arguments between scientists if PM is possible or not. There were so many scientists, engineers who were proponents of PM. But they failed and failed and failed. They were not dumb, on the contrary, most of them were much more clever than us.

Well, you may ask how come Bessler found a solution then.
What makes Bessler different from others is his extreme practical experience. He could design a church organ, a pocket watch, very sensitive scientific instruments, a windmill(!)... These are very different mechanisms and designing them requires a very wide variety of abilities. You and I cannot reach that level by just sitting and thinking and talking. It requires an extreme amount of experimental work.
Due to Karl's comments about the simplicity of the wheel, most folk here is underestimating Bessler. On the contrary, I think he was much more than we assume who he was.

Again you may be right... bessler was an alrounder...

I think when everyone else finally realizes that they are not going to find a different working design, then they will be right back to Ken's design and trying to build it. It's only a matter of time. Those who mock him now have really not achieved anything and without him probably never will.

Almost ALL anonymous posts, even if they are signed as Henry L, SoS, Anonymous and PROUD of it, or whatever pseudonym he uses, are one and the same person. Except for Leo H., that was me.

You know most people who do, like Ovaron, Fletcher and others who also post anonymous. They are easy to discern and add value. Most anonymous posts do not.

    5. DT Pg 190 .. "Consider now (page 19) a disc or narrow cylinder revolving about its horizontal axis rather in the manner of a grindstone; if you call this a ‘wheel’ then that is also a description of the main part of my machine. This wheel consists of a tympanum or drum, covered externally with stretched canvas, 12 Rhenish feet in diameter, and 15 or 18 inches wide. The axle, which passes through the centre of the wheel, is 6 feet long and 8 inches in diameter, and in its movement is supported at each end by an almost one-inch thick steel bearing. ...

... The bearings taper somewhat, and the arrangement has been designed in such a way that the rotational movement of the entire vertically suspended wheel can be slightly modified by the application on each side of small weights, as the appended plans at the end of the treatise clearly demonstrate."

Rotational movement of the entire wheel can be slightly modified by the application on each side (of the wheel) of small weights, as the appended plans at the end of the treatise clearly demonstrate i.e. hanging T-bar pendulums each side of the wheel (out of phase) whose period is modified by the location and masses of the T-bar weights which modifies the wheels MOI and RPM.

      -f

      Delete
    6. @RAF,It's my contention that Bessler's wheel was driven by pendulums. Certainly; if they swing out on the down side, the wheel will turn. "swinging weights" would seam to be a very good description of a pendulum(s). Also,"weights once in rotation, gain force from their own swinging", which is true, as they swing outward they gain more force.
Where does Bessler mention pendulums? As far as I know, he doesn't. But then why would he? It could give away the whole thing, if that's what he used. Seams like I remember him saying, " there is one word that I must never mention. Maybe that one word was pendulums. One statement he made; the weights have to keep away from the center of gravity. Which makes perfect sense, if he was referring to pendulums. The difficulty is, finding a way to swing them out. Not only just swinging them out, release them, and then hold them ot for at least 90 degrees of rotation. Impossible, right?? Sam

  8. Kens device has nothing to do with Bessler and as far as I'm concerned neither does John's so it's like a fight between bridesmaids. I noticed from the very beginning that something was missing from this group, namely a wheel. I joined the BW forum and one of the first things that happened was that someone (Jim mich) reposted something that I deleted... and from there things went south. So I'm not in the least surprised that there is dissonance in this blog. But still if I had the design I'd share it with John simply because he's gone to a lot of trouble and made a lot of effort to steer people to Bessler's story. But John is not interested in something like that. He thinks that he knows the only way to arrive. So leave him to his devices.

    1. I completely share your point of view. John deserves perpetual credit for the work he has done and is still doing by keeping the story alive in his blog. The translation of the old German text has been an tremendous effort. The text is full of (biblical) references, cryptograms and a lot of, little informative, prose. Therefore I think it is understandable that he became convinced that Bessler left the solution in code. Bessler tried to keep his invention as secret as possible. Why risk someone cracking the code. Post mortal recognition might be a reason but is nothing more than John’s assumption.

I think that John already knows that his wheel is a non-runner and is now working on a book explaining how he deciphered the hidden clues which allowed him to derive the design that he will present. It will be a book like Ken has written. Ken tells us sales are going great and if so then John’s book will sell even better for he has a much better reputation and is an authority on the matter. I hope Ken is telling the truth about the sales (I doubt that) because we all can imagine what John is going to do with the revenues. I hope his plan works out well, but we are not going to have a gravity mill.

    1. Hi Michel, just got a bit of a cough but feeling better thanks. Bessler did have some daughters but they were probably too young to take interest. He was totally committed to not revealing a clue to anybody but I believe that this was because he had made preparations to reveal all in one of two circumstances - either the sale of the wheel, or his own death.

  13. Update. So far world deaths from COVID-19 have reached 27,889 people. Earlier this year these people were looking forward to the coming warm weather. Now they are all dead and buried. Lesson? Don't take your future for granted. Make every day count because you never know when it will be your last.

Boris Johnson, the British smarter version of Trump, tested positive for the virus a few days ago and is now self-isolated in his home. COVID-19 has no respect for one's political or social status.

The cases in the US continue to climb toward a peak. Everyone is edgy and mostly cooped up in their homes waiting for it to all go away. Trump now "hopes" the US will get back to normal by Easter. His tone has changed of late. His advisors are now controlling his rhetoric and warning him that if he minimizes the danger and it results in more deaths from those that did not take enough precautions because of it, he will be blamed and can forget about reelection.

Last week 3.3 MILLION Americans applied for unemployment benefits. The Secretary of the Treasury said he thought the number was "not significant". I wonder if he had lost his job, which current pays $210,700 USD, and was standing in an unemployment line hoping for some money so he could pay his rent, if he might have a different opinion?!

Much talk about the US Congress passing economic rescue packages and sending everyone nice big checks. So far, no one's seen a penny of any of it.

    1. Update. I just watched an interview with an economics expert who actually was one! What he said was chilling. He said anybody thinking the world economy is going to be back to normal by this Easter (which is on Sunday, April 12th and only fifteen days away) is delusional. He said that by mid year or the end of this June, the US unemployment rate will probably be around 20% or even higher. By the end of the year it will drop down to around 7% or so.

Meanwhile, Italy just hit another milestone. So far, they've had 10,023 deaths from the corona virus.

What makes this virus really dangerous is that, unlike the usual seasonal flu, it spreads quickly from person to person even if they do NOT have any symptoms yet! Right now there could be millions of people in the US who are infected who don't know it yet and are spreading to others unintentionally. When 20% of all of them need to be hospitalized in the coming weeks, things are really going to get hectic over here. Now they are talking about moving non-COVID-19 patients out of hospitals and into hotels that could be used as temporary hospitals. The actual hospitals would be reserved strictly for the COVID-19 patients to keep them quarantined and close to the ventilators if they need them. Already all "elective" surgeries have been cancelled.

Things should really be getting bad in the US in about three weeks from now when the peak of cases is reached. That does not mean that it's downhill immediately after that. No, the pandemic will still be going strong and infecting people, but the increase in the total number of new cases will level off as the number of newly infected people per day equals the number who are fully recovered per day. Who knows how long it will stay leveled off and still killing more people per day before it actually begins to decrease and finally disappears.

    3. Update. Here's an interesting short video that shows how quickly the COVID-19 pandemic spread around the world. Watch how quickly the total cases in Italy and the US start to increase toward the end (about 1 in 50 cases kills the patient despite treatment):

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=plddyiCw_AM

Corona virus deaths just went past 2,000 in the US and 31,000 worldwide. An expert recently said we should not assume that this virus will all go away in another month or so. He said that we could even experience several "waves" of the infection in the US. That will happen if everyone assumes it's all gone and then goes out and has their usual social contacts. Some will still be infected and then infect others who don't develop symptoms for another few weeks. Some think a second wave could hit the US in the fall and mess up our elections. Expect to see future US political elections done entirely by mail, phone, or the internet. But they should have some way of changing your vote if later you decide to change your mind about what candidate you favor.

Another 3.8 MILLION Americans filed for unemployment benefits last week. That's a new record weekly high! Many trying to file their claims online find their state websites crashing a few minutes after they become active. So far no one's seen any of the US government's promised economic stimulus checks yet from the IRS. People are getting more and more annoyed by the delay. Beware of scammers calling you up and pretending to be IRS agents who need your checking account numbers so they can "confirm" them and deposit your stimulus check in them. If you give that information, they will quickly clean out your account! Meanwhile, China and Russia continue to buy gold by the ton as more countries are selling off their US Treasury bonds. What's the US federal government doing? Printing up more money with nothing to back it up but promises! But sales of guns are way up which makes the gun manufacturers very happy.

It's been noticed how few corona virus deaths they have over in Singapore. How could that be? Are they lying about their cases like Iran did? No. First, as soon as they found out about what was happening over in China, they opened over 1,000 free testing centers and provided free treatment for all citizens. Another reason might be because everyone there has a phone app called "TraceTogether" that immediately alerts them if anyone near them tested positive for the virus or was even in contact with someone who tested positive in which case he might still have no symptoms but could be infected and contagious. It uses government health records and the Bluetooth signals from the phones to do that. Another app called "WhatsApp" sends everyone a status report on the epidemic in their country twice a day. If things get bad enough for too long enough in the US, we may eventually have something like this. But without easily available and free testing it's not going to be happening.

How prepared are we in the US? There are hospitals right now whose nurses are wearing garbage bags to protect themselves from being infected by incoming patients! Masks are being made from torn up sheets!

The US FDA says that "vaping" or using those electronic cigarettes makes you more likely to get your lungs infected by the corona virus! Yet another reason to stop smoking.

The infection is starting to get really bad over in India and their deaths from it are expected to soon zoom past those of the US.

    4. This virus is part of a secret plan to put China out of business before it takes over world. It was started by US with a special made virus to knock down the size of China but something went wrong and it spread. The plan was to kill off half of China's people but it was more powerful then they thought. It got spread to Europe by Chinese tourists and is now all over world. Maybe will kill third of people on Earth. We have to hope we can survive. It's not going to be over any time this year.

      Delete
    5. Update. Unfortunately, it's only more dismal news.

US virus expert Fauci announced that the most advanced epidemic simulation programs we have indicate that somewhere between 80,000 and 200,000 Americans WILL be killed by the corona virus in the coming weeks despite treatment. He's hoping they can be made even lower by the "mitigation" methods being used now. Others are saying that the actual death toll could be several times higher and even in the millions! It's hard to know what to believe at the moment. Meanwhile, just to be on the safe side, the government is recommending everyone stay home until at least April 30th. So much for it all being over by Easter!

Someone mentioned that it took 3 months for the death toll in the US to reach 1,000. Since last Thursday, only four days ago, ANOTHER 1,000 cases has been added to make the total over 2,000. This is called an "exponential increase". One can only dread what the new death total will be by the end of THIS week! No doubt it will be bad.

One doctor said he thinks there is another way the virus is being transmitted that no one has considered yet. He thinks it's being done through credit and debit cards! What happens, he says, is that someone who is infected gives his card to a supermarket cashier to be swiped to pay for groceries. That puts the virus on the cashier's hand or glove if he or she is wearing them. The next person who is still uninfected comes along to pay for his groceries and presents his card. The cashier takes it, swipes it, and puts some virus on it which is then transferred to the second customer when the card is handed back to him. Most customers are not wearing gloves and if they then touch their face after handing the card, they could be infected. Eventually, anyone leaving his home will have to wear disposable gloves and use hand sanitizer on his credit or debit card before putting it back in his wallet. Tests show the virus can survive on a hard surface, like metal, for up to 11 days!

Some author just published a book in which he blames the Trump administration for a six week delay in taking the advanced actions necessary to help keep the death toll in the US as low as possible. During those critical early weeks Trump was telling everyone that the virus was the "Chinese virus" or the "Kung flu" and had everyone laughing at it as he suggested it was being over hyped by the liberal media who was trying to sabotage the economy and mess up his plans to get re-elected. He told everyone it would be over in about two months and was just like any other seasonal flu. Now he's trying to make it look like he was "on top" of the situation from the very beginning and makes sure he's seen with all of the real virus experts at news conferences. Expect criticism of him to increase as the death toll climbs.

There was some good news in all of this doom and gloom. It's been noticed that the reduction in travel and use of fossil fuel powered cars and planes is making the air in cities cleaner. This is giving us a taste of what it will be like when the world finally switches over to using all electric powered transportation with the energy being provided by non-fossil fuel power supplies.

    6. Those estimates are really scary! Let's hope they are way too high. If everyone on Earth eventually got infected with the corona virus then of the 7.5 billion of us now alive about 150 million will die! That's three times the estimate of 50 million killed in Europe by the "Black Death" of the 14th century.

    7. Thanks for your updates AAPOI. I'm learning a lot from reading them. I heard about a new home test kit that will be available in a few weeks. You have to put spit or snot on a swab and then dip it in some chemical and it turns color to tell you if you are positive in five minutes. If you are you can isolate yourself immediately so you don't risk infecting others which can happen if you got one of the tests that takes days to develop. I think they may even mail the new tests to everyone for free. That should help slow the spread of the virus.

      Delete
    8. Update. Close to an extra 1,000 Americans have died in the last 24 hours as we begin to climb toward the peak of US corona virus cases that is still WEEKS away. Total US deaths now over 3,000. Right now we have had more deaths in the US from COVID-19 than they had in China! When the outbreak started over there, they quarantined about 50 million people and 40,000 doctors rushed in to help people. Many of them died. But they are no longer dying over there from the virus. Maybe we should pay some of those surviving Chinese doctors, who now have immunity from their exposures, to come over and help us? Some are saying we need to start teaching Chinese in our schools.

State governors are complaining that only the ones who stroke Trump's ego enough get priority for the medical supplies they need from the federal government. It's sort of like a replay of that "quid pro quo" bribery charge that got him impeached last year. Only it's medical supplies this time instead of military equipment for Ukraine. I used to think Ken B had the biggest ego on the planet, but now I realize he is a rank amateur compared to Trump!

Despite all the talk of "social distancing", the airlines are still operating and stuffing untested passengers into cramped cabins for hours breathing the same air and the spring break kids are running loose, getting infected, and will be bringing it home with them. Those drive through testing centers being set up are a joke. The workers aren't changing their gloves or masks between drivers that they are testing and could be spreading infection from one driver to another.

There's growing evidence that the virus can be "aerosolized" which means it can be spread through the air in a dry form like a military bio weapon. If so, those masks everyone is wearing made of regular cloth are useless. If you can push a human hair through the mask's cloth, then a dry virus particle can easily go through it because it is only about 1/120th the diameter of a hair! That's like a volley ball thrown through a subway tunnel.

Currently about 75% of all Americans have been told to stay home. There's growing talk of isolating states so people can not travel freely from one to another unless tested. Once that happens, such quarantines could extend down to counties and maybe even down to individual towns. We would be doing what the Chinese did only in a gradual way. Most people will put up with it as long as they are fed, have toilet paper, their cable tv and internet still work, and the media keeps them informed about the latest number of deaths.

So far the economic stimulus checks the government has promised to send everyone haven't even started to be sent out. People are dreading what the news will be when the first quarter economic report is released in a few weeks. Whatever it is, it won't be nearly as bad as the figures for the second quarter!

    9. We have to keep in mind that these are not just numbers. Each one of them represents someone's mother, father, spouse, or child and a family that has been devastated by the sudden and unexpected loss and will have both medical expenses and burial costs to deal with.

There's some good news from Italy. Their three weeks of complete lock down seems to have worked and the number of new cases per day is finally leveling off.

I just watched an interview with Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York state which has the most cases in the US at the moment. He said the state just bought 17,000 ventilators from the Chinese for $25,000 each. That's $425 million they spent and he said their are now broke. He said he hopes those extra ventilators will be enough in the coming weeks to help all of those that need it.

  15. In what way will the “would be solver” of a gravity powered wheel be compensated? The reason why I ask is because, if you reveal the internal workings, somebody else will steal the idea and get a patent for it, if they choose to do so, or sell it to the government for an undisclosed amount of money or whatever. But in what way will the person be compensated?

    1. Just post the design and if you wish, a video explains it, anywhere on the internet, here on this blog, or on BW forum or on your own website. Once you “publish” it, it is in the public domain and it can’t be patented, although it might be possible to patent an improvement, but that could happen even if you went to the the trouble and expense of patenting your original design.

    2. I see, well that clears that up. Anyway, I’m still putting my device together, although it’s not going to look like a wheel, because it’s literally a rectangular box spinning around....or will be. There’s only two weights on this device but, if all goes well, I’ll be able to get some serious RPM’s out of it as well as torque.

So with that said, I’ll be on my way back to my inventing room.

  20. Hi Sam,

From what I know, as an example, if you have 3 gears (all the same size), the middle gear remains stationary while the two outer gears which have weights on them rotate around the central axis. The objective is to have all the weight remain on either side of the axis (left side or right side).

So far, no one has been able to solve this issue of having all the weight remain on one side of the wheel.

    ReplyDelete
  25. THANKYOU for your comments Sam,Marinus, and Anon.!! I see a big difference between a pendulum and a swinging weight. Clocks and metronomes have a pendulum because the pivot point is FIXED with respect to the body. A swinging weight, however, has a pivot point free to move within the body. Bessler is telling us that the swinging levers and weights have pivots not attached to the wheel DIRECTLY. Since he mentions crossbars, the pivot points can be fixed to this crossbar. This is a crucial difference in mechanical design!! Comments?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I see what you mean. I agree, but,

A crossbar, storks bill, or Roberval mechanism (like the hammering puppets on the toy page) can be considered a complicated system of pendulums. With or without weights (masses). It all comes back to the “Moment of Inertia”. Bessler also tells us that he did a lot of calculations. Somehow it has to match the “laws of perpetual motion”. Otherwise it won’t turn.

      Delete
  26. RAFORD, No; It's nothing fancy. Just four bolts evenly spaced around the wheel with a pendulum hanging / swinging on each one. The bolt or pivot point, is fixed to the wheel. No levers, OK? You have to think like a dummy, (like me), Nothing too critical or complicated.

My pet theory, (as John would say), is; if, at or about, the 12:00 position, each pendulum is swung outward the wheel will turn. However, that is easier said than done. Sam

A few months ago you invited me and others to post such book links. But, my comment and it's link keeps disappearing. If you are purposely deleting it, is there some reason that you don't like the book which was by a bishop named John Wilkins?
