Suggestions for Posts wanted.

Writing posts for others to read is an enjoyable past time for me, but am I writing about the things you guys are interested in knowing or discussing?

I would be interested to get some suggestions for subjects to cover so I can keep your interest and maybe gather a few more readers and commenters.

Let's have some ideas - please?  :)

  1. John,..Just wait until the wheel turns, then you'll get some extra readers.
This subject falls in a specialized category.
Do you not think it better to start an extra new blog with a new title like,'Carte Blanche'?

  4. I think that you said:

"John, can you comment on the figure 353 of Apologia poetics. Looking at the photo of the original drawing enlarged you can see the black dots more marked that form of the figures in the triangle top is seen a devil who laughs and netriangolo in low on the left you can see the face of a man seen from the side that faces the scopes have the wheel toward the center. I hope I have explained why they are not able to write to you in English, however, this is another clue."

Thank you for your comments. It has been mentioned before about the black dots which make up the Apologia drawings, but I think they are just random dots generated as part of printing process. Those early printing methods were subject to smudging and I think it would have been too difficult to produce a consistent series of books all with pictures composed of accurately printed dots intended to convey a secret picture - but that is just my opinion.

If you find more information I'd be pleased to see it. Good luck

  6. I and many others want to know alot more about that 'vast sea' of clues hidden in the portraits without which besslers wheels can not be duplicated. There are only a few on this planet htat currently know anything about these clues and we were lucky to have one here for awhile. My advice to you is to get him back pronto and pray hes still willing to return. Also you need to put a tighter leash on your pet troll. There's no telling how many have been turned away by his offensive posts (also lossing any interest in bessler and then choosing not to buy any of your books as a result!)

  8. I have been to the one of the latest Cirques De Soleil.......... there were two men in a rotating wheel. The wheel had two separate areas where two men were moving in a consistent manner to keep the wheel spinning. Look it up Kooza Wheel of death on You Tube. I have to believe that these two men were capable of generating a great deal of energy using the device. I believed then, that the secret to the wheel was right before me, and I still harbor those ideas.

  9. For one, I hereby suggest that we have a topic dedicated exclusively to how this blog might be made wholesome, and cleansed of the narcissistic/parasitical anonymous menace!

Yes, John requests that we submit such suggestions as to what topics we might like to see here though what do we see right off the bat, way too soon but

Anonymous of 20 January 2013 at 22:18 blathering as follows:

    mike"

To which Anonymous of 20 January 2013 at 23:09 then rejoindered with:

"Mike, everybody knows you're the troll!"

Brilliant! - whichever this one was. It is so, just as he asserted.

None of this distracting nonsense could continue without the Anonymous Plague being allowed (nay, encouraged!) it's exceeding-ugly head!

In the last blog topic (on the Toys Page subject just now replaced by this one) I endeavored to address this subject but, general sight of it was cut-off cold by this present new action and so, I'll continue it on from here . . .

This new "mike" is obviously @TechnoXXX newly outfitted as a moron! (In other words, posing as one and, I must say as an attempt it was a veneer-thin artifice. You lose!)

He urges as-summed that the return of he/she/it as self, is vital because possessing of some ". . . 'vast sea' of clues hidden in the portraits . . ." this supposedly being desired by most if not all.

    Really?

Also, he introduces the notion of the "need" to John (presumably) that his "your pet troll" be gotten under control by leashing. (If this were not so serious a subject, I would admit to having indulged several minutes of hearty laughter, after reading all that he wrote. @TechoXXX has now clearly descended down into 'the pathetic'. He must be mad.)

This one is especially side-splitting to this "troll": "There's no telling how many have been turned away by his offensive posts . . ."

Well, there he spoke truth. Much of what I said to him over these months of spanking was, in-part, INTENDED (caps here for emphasis only) to be "offensive" to him, but certainly to no others.

I could go on but, here mercy prevails.

    So . . .

John, please, might you consider disallowing all Anonymous postings?

(Do I hear a second, a third and fourth? Speak up! I'll not bite you.)

    All the Best(s)

    1. yellowson,

Check out www.besslerwheel.com or any of John Collins sites listed in the right-hand pane on this site

www.besslerwheel.com (BW) has about everything that everyone has thought of up to this point and is freely available. Register so you have access to Searches and the Albums (pics) section.

This blog does not support inserting or attaching pics so a lot of times people posting here include links to information on BW.

  12. How about letting your subscribers submit completed posts (maybe in Word document form) and you can choose from them which to place on your site.

    ReplyDelete
  13. @John Collins

I would make a rule saying no one can mention another poster (whether subscriber or anonymous) in any demeaning manner. All such posts would be subject to immediate removal.

I don't think there is anything wrong with anonymous postings. What is wrong is when one poster makes a statement or claim about another, then the problem spirals out of control. An example would be Primemignonite's post above. Ban these type of comments (right or wrong) from the get go and this blog would be a much better place.

    2. First, glad to hear you are making progress.

Regarding the comments again, no offense directed to Primemignonite, I was mearly pointing to an example post. Everyone should ignore the "demeaning posts" of Anon's until JC removes them. Assuming to subscribers submits posts of this nature, then the problem will clear itself up over time. It's a bad habit that needs to be broken, and only time will work. Of course, making everyone subscribe is an option. Sometimes you don't want to put your name on an offensive comment, I understand that. I've been guilty of bashing TG myself - but he really deserved it!!! Of course that won't stop some people. Just look at the comments Chris made on BW and here.

    Charming!

How can such commentary be taken seriously when it is so self-serving to whichever Anonymous that wrote it?

Should there be any credibility conceded to such Anonymous blather, especially when presented unsigned?

    Who has spoken above?

    Really now.

Also, the Anonymous of 21 January 2013 at 14:09 added

    "@John Collins

I would make a rule saying no one can mention another poster (whether subscriber or anonymous) in any demeaning manner. All such posts would be subject to immediate removal."

This would be according to 'Stewart's Forum' rules over at B.W.F., and would be workable except that Anonymous essentially unsigned postings should be left as 'fair game' for fair poking, if they get out-of-line, being by their own choice a 'non-person'.

It is so, that @TechnoXXX signed his Anonymous postings in that way but so what? To-this-day still, no one knows who he/she/it was! Why did the persistent, long-winded writer never reveal an identity? Why?

I believe that all this fuss-never-ending is caused by Anonymous postings, signed or not. It IS madness, and is circumstance custom-made to descend into crazy chaos. As for a likely 'why', I'm not the only one here to have addressed the matter at that level, and suggested the reasonable answer.

By-the-way, the Anonymous post I quoted above is plainly childish. Who's was it? My best bet would be put on the very creepy individual behind the long and ridiculous @TechnoXXX assault. (If [?] desires warring with me, then let [?] come forth and be in the open about it, but he won't because this is what innate cowardice does, and behaves like. On this point, let us make no mistake.)

Once this is settled (hopefully logically/productively, one way or another) we can get back to topics as John presents them, and stay there.

What more is there left to be said?

  17. John ,
I have some good news . I have changed my mind at least a thousand times , because after all we pretty much instinctively know when our ideas are feasible . I had no real reason to connect myself egocentrically to any of my ideas . I have found that this is the best policy ... because the truth stands by itself without anyone's support or being passionately apologetic and such . It seems that I , having taken the path chosen have discovered and am now absolutely confident that our beloved Bessler was an honest man after all , and definitely is/was exactly what he said he was , his device being exactly what he said it was also . The problem seems to be that anyone seeking perpetual motion simply does not know where to start . Bessler was given this device ... and that is why he was successful where other's have failed . You see , for those of us who wanted the best , that is , Bessler being vindicated and his device being publicized there is now cause for a commencement celebration . For those who sought to claim the discovery for themselves somehow and rationalize away the connection to Bessler there is no hope of that .

    Sincerely Chris W.

  19. JSO ,
No . I don't have the wheel yet but I now understand the principle and how Bessler arrived at the device completely . Note : Bessler said that he destroyed all the woodcuts that prove the possibility meaning once someone saw the device it is easy to understand how it works . That's where I am and to be totally honest I'm both elated and a little taken aback ( by it's simplicity ) after all the drama and contreversy .So bare with me , I am not just talking here .

    1. I'm glad to hear you are still convinced about your discovery. There are living Bessler descendents in this country and in Germany. I'm not a lawyer so you may want to investigate this further, but should you come forth with a runner, and you make the absolute claim that it is Bessler's idea, you may give up your right to patent ownership or possibly some other type of financial gain. Just a thought. Bessler did say his wheels worked on different principles, so who is to say for sure that you didn't come up with a design than Bessler. Best wishes. zoelra

    5. Well to be fair to Chris, what else can he do. He obviously feels he can't talk about the design as that could give away the secret. Don't we all have ideas we are keeping secret. We know JC's design somehow utilizes the kiiking effect but that's about all he is willing to share, and he regularly states he believes his design will work, he just has to prove it. That's all talk too. Now Chris has on occasion gone a little overboard with his comments (a little...hehehe) but that's beside the point. I hope we don't get to the point where if we don't talk about our design, we can't say how we are doing with it. I once proclaimed victory and embarrassed myself to the point where I can't even talk to my friends about it anymore. So I'm left to write these types of posts.

      Delete
    6. I certainly can appreciate that Chris thinks he knows the answer, but the problem is that many people use such strong words (i.e. "...there is now cause for a commencement celebration", and "I am not just talking here", etc.) that they confuse people and then lose credibility.

Also illustrated by your own comment about not being able to discuss with friends anymore because of the very same thing.

It hurts the rest of us every time. The more people that proclaim they have something publicly without following up with the real deal, the more impossible the rest of the world will believe it to be, and the more insane they will think us to be for perusing it.

  20. Reading through the suggestions here reminds me of passengers arguing about how to arrange teh deck chairs on the titanic. It gives everyone a good feeling for awhile but then they notice the ship is still sinking! Nothing will change here unless collins gets serious about deleting insulting posts and those of his pet troll are a good place to start.

This used to be a place where I could come daily and actually learn someting new about besslers wheels. That ended when tg left on jan. 8th. He kept this blog going for many months with alot of interesting comments and info about the wheel mechnanisms that I never saw elsewhere before when no one else could be bothered. I don't think itll ever change back again unless he returns . Unless something is done soon this now dead blog will really start to stink and it will then finally be time to bury it. Most likely collins will suddenly annoucne that he's closing down this troll crapping ground just befor his next spain vacation in june. I've seen this same pattern happen on other dead blogs when insulting trolls were allowed to run loose because the blog owner couldn't be bothered keeping them out or under control. This one won't be any different. What a really fine way that will be to celebrate the 300th aniversary of the gera wheel!

    2. If you look back at TG's posts, you will see he really never made much if any progress. For each step forward, he took one back, so I'm not sure how much you learned from him. Now maybe if your intention was to copy everying TG did, then yes you probably do miss him, but for the rest here (who have designs nothing like TG's) I don't think he is all that missed. This site surely isn't suffering because of the loss of TG that's for sure. What it is suffering from is a few people continually coming here and whining like 2 year olds. Come to think of it, I really on see one or two people doing that. If TG thinks he really has something great, he can make his own blog, or post on Chris Wilson's blog. Then all the TG wannabe's can go there. This site was great before TG and it will continue to be, just like BW. Enough said.

Unfortunately TG couldn't follow a simple request to shorten his posts, so he did it to himself, and he did it to you and all his other followers. If you want to be mad at someone, be mad at TG, not the visitors to this site.

    7. Mike I agree with most of what you say. TG was a major factor in keeping this place interesting for over a year and, imo, it's not ever going to be the same without him back here. Some think he was not making progress, but they're just jealous because it was obvious that he was constantly getting closer with his right track approach to finding Bessler's design. Who knows, he might even right now be the third person in history to actually be viewing the design Bessler found! I wish him well and if he had a blog of his own I'd be the first to sign up for it. Be nice if could be troll free, though. Apparently he never seemed much interested in his own blog since he thought posting here would help support John's efforts to promote interest in Bessler. From seeing the lunacy that goes on here, however, I can't say I blame him!

    9. TG was a continual source of friction for this blogs members

If you look back at all the posts of TG you will see that after every positive post, there was a retractive negative post. As I previously said, one step forward, one step backward. If his interpretation didn't work, he would look for another interpretation. But in the end, he still was no closer.

He continues to stand by his beliefs regarding the portraits so that is positive and I hope he makes it some day, but for now, we can only wait.

    10. "TG was a continual source of friction for this blogs members"

Only for those that could not accept his right track, portrait based apporach to a solution. From his many comments here its obvious that TG is a very serious and advanced Bessler researcher, but I disagree with those thinking he needs his own blog. Contrary to what he thought, blogs are not apporpriate for such research. Blogs are mostly for daily trivial chit chat and not for documenting serious scientific discoveries (or rediscoveries). He needs to complete his research and, if its successful, devote an entire website to it with no limit to the detail he can cover because others might object that he's dominating the scene. Better yet, he might consider publishing it as a book or ebook. If his claims of being so close to a solution are correct (his conviction is truly impressive), then he should have the solution this year and, eventually, we will all know about it one way or another.

  24. XXXVII (b) Here Wagner apologises for the fact that his turnspit cannot revolve as fast as my wheel, but adds that it doesn't need to. See Wagner's childish nonsense. He says that my Mobile turns too quickly. It should be different, and not go at such a fast, regular clip. No Mobile should revolve so fast! Wagner, don't take it amiss, but where, in your Bible, (or whatever other book
you read instead) does it say this? Please show me the passage! Seriously, aren't you concerned that people are going to laugh at you? Just because your device doesn't run very fast, you lay into
mine! If I was to make a slow-running wheel, again it wouldn't be worth much, would it? But this I dare to claim - if God allowed me a long enough life I could make my wheel go really slowly, with a gentle rhythm, and it would still be able to raise even greater weights! Then what would you say, Wagner? I could write more, but I must press on to the finish. It's no matter - I don't wish to go into the details here of how suddenly the excess weight is caused to rise. You can't comprehend these matters, or see how true
craftsmanship can rise above innate lowly tendencies (as does a weight above the point of application of a lever)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. XXXVII.

That I did not give the speed of the wheel built by me, as Orffyreus does for his, is intentional because I cannot conceive a reason why the wheel must revolve precisely 50 times per minute and why it may not go more slowly or more quickly. The rapid and constant motion is an infallible indication that his wheel is no genuine perpetual motion machine. If the motion should originate in the superior force of the weight, then the weight cannot possibly rise up several ells immediately in a flash, indeed if it falls to the other side of the wheel and should give it a jolt, then it can hardly fall as rapidly as the underlying compartment descends. Moreover, the wheel could not run so constantly because for any perpetual motion the preponderant weight (whatever material may constitute it) on the side of the wheel which is so preponderated must be brought closer to the axis (which is impossible as extensively enlarged on above) in order that it can be more easily raised, as soon the preponderant weight is raised over the hypomochlium, thus it must cross over to the other side of the wheel and be brought to the periphery of the wheel; now the transit is stratified and the superior force distances itself further and further from the point at rest and gravitates more and more as a consequence of the principle of conveyance, thus at the same time the wheel necessarily must go more slowly, and the further the weight comes from the point at rest, the faster the wheel goes, whence it follows that the wheel can go a) not so rapidly and b) not constantly but just the opposite. Not to mention that the strong colusion, in which the weight comes to rest at the bottom of the wheel and through the turning comes to lie at the other side of the compartment, comes about, thus the running and movement of the wheel are again and again interrupted and hindered, which is well-known from similar things that have been modeled and inspected.
